10 Cool and Easy Dinners You Can Make Without Turning Your Stove On

During the summer season, the heat outside and inside is taking a big toll on us. It must be very often that you simply don’t feel like turning on the stove, that should not stop you from having a super dinner. There are plenty of options for cooking (not exactly cooking) delicious meal for you and your family without even turning the stove on. These are no-cook and at the same time cool dinners that will help you have a pleasant sleep at night.

Pomegranate Tabouleh:

Tabouleh, which is undoubtedly one of the best vegetarian dishes in the world, is also a no-cook dish. The main ingredients of Tabouleh are Cherry Tomatoes, Parsley, mint and Bulgur. An excellent mix of herbs with cereals makes it a filling, healthy and delicious dish. Adding Pomegranate seeds gives it a superb sweetness, and that becomes a delight to have – and you don’t have to light the stove to make this.

Sandwiches are mostly no-cook, but this Chickpea Salad Sandwich is one of those that is perfect for a dinner. You simply have to smash the Chickpea in a mixing bowl and add corn, onion, pepper, herbs of your choice, garlic powder, salt and mayonnaise and mix well. Wrap it with slices of bread and enjoy a healthy dinner with your family. It does not take more than 15 minutes, and there is absolutely no need to heat up the kitchen.

This miracle from Andalusia, Spain is one of the best dinner dishes in the world, and it does not require fire, yes it’s soup, but the only thing it needs is a blender. It is a cold soup and prepared by blending a variety of vegetables and herbs together. Search your vegetable tray to gather tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion and jalapeno and pour a bit of olive oil, vinegar, lime juice with some fresh herbs and blend well – yes, dinner is ready.

For that, you have to get a few tortillas beforehand and if that is done – your dinner is also done. Mixing of ripe avocado, chickpea, chopped cilantro, cabbage, pepper, salt and olive oil will make a delicious filling. Wrap that with the tortilla and a lovely Mexican dinner is on the plate. You may add any sauce of your choice and may add tofu for additional protein.

If you are feeling like having something oriental but in no mood to face the stove – zucchini noodles are the best thing to try. Have a bowl full of noodles and dress it with a host of ingredients that include: peanut butter, sesame seeds, soy sauce, olive oil, basil, cilantro, onion, tomato and mix it well so you can ring the dinner bell. It is one of the easiest noodles recipes and is extremely healthy. As per your choice and taste, you may add any herb, spice or sauce which will only give it a better twist.

This, of course, requires some canned items – if you don’t have a problem with these you can probably cook the most delicious no-cook dinner of all time. You need to have canned Tuna and a host of canned beans: kidney beans, black beans, cannellini beans, garbanzo beans, and cherry tomatoes. A few fresh herbs like basil, thyme, tarragon. Simply arrange a platter keeping the Tuna at the center. Woh! Woh! Its dinner time baby.

Pad Thai – No Noodle:

A gluten-free alternative to Pad Thai that traditionally uses rice noodles. Here you have to make vegetable noodles out of Daikon, Zucchini and Carrot and mix them with Tofu, cilantro leaves, sesame seeds, green onions and bean sprouts. Then you just have to add peanut sauce made with peanut butter, lime juice, soy sauce, honey and ginger. Add the sauce with the noodles and enjoy a vegan dinner without turning the flame on.

A super healthy, tasty and no-cook salad which can be taken alone or wrapped inside a tortilla. A healthy mix of avocado, black beans, cotija cheese, onion, jalapeno and cilantro dressed with mayonnaise, lime juice, salt and pepper and the salad is ready. You can take a bowlful of it and enjoy with Netflix or wrap it with a tortilla bread and make a taco night at home.

Another unimaginably tasty and healthy surprise from Mexico. Chopped, avocado, sliced tomatoes, sliced mozzarella, fresh basil & arugula, olive oil, vinegar and pepper is all you require. Arrange the ingredients on sliced tomatoes & mozzarella and wrap with the tortilla. Have a glass full of juice alongside and a fantastic dinner is ready.

Indians have not been very fond of no-cook dishes, and most of our delicacies are served hot. However, a bowl of fresh & dry fruits raita can be soothing and refreshing to chill you out from the summer heat completely. Take thick curd in a bowl and blend it very well to make it smooth and add any fruit of your choice – chopped apple, sliced banana, pomegranate seeds, sliced grapes, walnut, almond, raisin, cashew – and mix very well. Add a pinch of cumin powder, chaat masala and chilli powder and mix well. You can also add a spoon of sugar and your dinner is ready.
