India is the most diverse country in the world. Be it culture, religion, language, rituals, festivals, or nature; its beautiful hills, mountains, valleys, beaches, deserts, forests, it has so much to offer, one will never fall short of options to choose from.

1. Meghalaya


It is a hidden gem nestled in the lap of pine-covered Khasi and Garo hills.

One of the most picturesque locations in Northeast India with its lush terraced slopes, gushing waterfalls, mystic caves, dense forests and sparkling lakes and rivers.

Cherrapunjee which receives the highest rainfall is definitely a must visit place.


2. Chitrakote Falls


It is the widest waterfall in India, located to the west of Jagdalpur in Chattisgarh state. It is also referred to as Niagara falls of India due to its width and during monsoons.

Tourists are not aware of its pristine beauty which qualifies this place to the hidden gem.


3. Chikmagalur


It is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Karnataka. This place is for nature lovers – hills, sunsets, sceneries, lush green fields. One can relax, enjoy this place while doing nothing.


4. Yercaud


It is undoubtedly a placed hidden from travellers’ eyes.

This hill station in Tamil Nadu is scenically enchanting and picturesque. Its scenic beauty can be enjoyed through a boat ride which one shouldn’t miss.


5. Andaman and Nicobar


Known for their picturesque beauty with pristine beaches, azure waters and verdant forests, it is still a relatively less explored island.

8. Naukuchiatal


It is relatively lesser known/travelled place, a tiny hill station in Uttrakhand. One can see that the beautiful lake here has nine corners if observed carefully surrounded by beautiful hills.

One can stay in a private bungalow which is more beautiful than in a hotel and visit nearby places like Nainital, Sattal, Bhimtal, etc.


9. Loktak Lake


Situated in Manipur, it is a miracle of nature and is the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India.

The lake offers excellent opportunities for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the lake and its several islands located inside it that are studded with floating phumdis.


10. Nagaland



It is one of the least travelled tourist destination hidden among the mountains of the Northeast.

The place offers infinite exploration possibilities from heritage villages to wildlife sanctuaries to pure, untouched meadows.
